Consists of Sharpe's manuscript "Twenty Below: My Sixteen Months on a RADAR Site in North Dakota," which documents his service with the 785th AC&W Squadron in Finley (N.D.) from February 1954 to June 1955. He describes life in North Dakota, living conditions on the base, including food, accommodations, entertainment, the town of Finley, the winters, weather, and memories of working at the RADAR site. Sharpe was discharged from the United States Air Force June 25, 1955. The collection also includes a Google Earth photo showing what remains of the 785th AC&W Squadron with a key created by Sharpe, and a brief history of the Finley Air Force Station (0.05 ft.).

The collection also includes photographic slides, prints and negatives. The bulk of the images document Johnson's time in Vietnam.
