The collections of the Society are available for research. People frequently return to view items donated by family members. To research or view items, please request an appointment. Can we borrow...?

The Society may only lend items to other museums or historical societies that meet certain standards. Organizations must review the Outgoing Loan Time Line and complete the Artifact Loan Questionnaire. Additional questions will be e-mailed directly to the museum staff. How do you choose what books are sold in your stores?

We evaluate books based on specific criteria.

Hours:
State Museum and Store: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. M-F; Sat. & Sun. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
We are closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We are closed at noon Christmas Eve if it falls on Mon.-Thurs. and are closed all day if it falls on Fri.-Sun.
