Abstract: Copy of portrait of William Solomon Robson family from Lakota (N.D.) and cropped portrait of Timothy Stock's mother, Maxine Yvonne Robson Stock from the same portrait. The William Solomon Robson family lived ten miles south to the school and 1 mile east.
Provenance: Photograph was copied and the original returned June 27, 1994.

Biographical Sketch:       William Solomon Robson
    William  Solomon Robson was born to William (1875-1920) and Cora Etta Rowena McBeain  (1881-1960) Robson on August 7, 1904 in Dash Township, Towner County, North  Dakota. His parents were immigrants from Canada who had moved to North Dakota  to acquire farmland. William Solomon had five sisters, Rowena Esther  Rosenberger (1901-1967), Gladys E. Robson (1905-1923), Helen Cat Naismith  (1913-1983), Lenore Yvonne Rosenberger (1915-2012), and Dorothy Schindele  (1916-1977). Elsie Elizabeth Keys was born to William John and Emma Webster  Kays on April 23, 1906 in Sarles, Cavalier County, North Dakota. She had seven  siblings: Edwin Kays (1902-1975), Ethel May Kays (1904-1977), George Webster  Kays (1907-1964), Marion I Kays (April 4, 1909-September 19, 1909), Harold Kays  (1910-1911), Charles Wesley Kays (1912-1971), Harry Kays (April 8, 1917-April  27, 1917).  William Solomon Robson  married Cora Etta Rowena McBeain on February 27, 1925 in Louise, Manitoba,  Canada. Their son, William J. Robson was born on April 29, 1925 in Dash  Township, Towner County, North Dakota. Their daughter Maxine Yvonne Robson was  born on October 11, 1927 in Sarles, Cavalier County, North Dakota. In 1930,  they were living in Cypress, Cavalier County, North Dakota. They moved to  Wamduska, Nelson County, North Dakota in 1935 and were farming the land there  in 1940. Their son, William J. Robson enlisted in the army on September 23,  1944 and was sent, first to training camp at Fort Snelling and then shipped to  the conflict in the Pacific where he died on Okinawa on June 26, 1945. Elsie  Robson died April 11, 1984 in Lakota, Nelson County, North Dakota. Cora Etta  Rowena McBeain Robson died in 1960 in Lakota, North Dakota. William Solomon  Robson died August 10, 1990 in the Devils Lake hospital. 
Biographical Sketch:       Maxine “Mickey” Yvonne Robson Stock
    Maxine  “Mickey” Yvonne Robson was born October 11, 1927 to William Solomon and Elsie  Elizabeth Kays Robson at Sarles, Cavalier County North Dakota. The family moved  to Lakota, Nelson County, North Dakota in 1931, where she was raised and  educated. She graduated from Lakota High School in 1945. She married Roger  Stock on May 11, 1950 at Lakota, North Dakota. They lived at Cavalier until  they moved to Fargo, North Dakota in 1958. They moved to Bismarck, North Dakota  in 1971, where she worked at Montgomery Ward Company for 13 years. Maxine  “Mickey” Yvonne Stock died of cancer, June 27, 1990, in the Mandan hospital.  She is survived by her husband Roger, one daughter, Jeannie Stein, Bismarck,  North Dakota; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Bill and Connie, Thief  River Falls, Minn., Mike and Pam, Magnolia, Texas and Tim and Nancy and Jeff,  all of Bismarck, North Dakota and her father, William Robson, Lakota, North  Dakota and 12 grandchildren.
