Abstract: The ephemera collection contains a variety of materials which are arranged first by size, then by topic (in alphabetical order). The collection primarily consists of printed material such as posters, tickets, programs, brochures, and pamphlets. The first group of materials is letter size or smaller, the second group is larger than letter size and smaller than 11x17" and the third group is larger than 11x17".

Provenance: The State Historical Society of North Dakota acquired the Ephemera Collection from various donors (see accession records for more detail). Each ephemera donation was originally assigned a unique collection number. These collections were combined into MSS 11354 in 2018.

Property rights: The State Historical Society of North Dakota owns the property rights to this collection.

Copyrights: Copyrights to materials in this collection remain with the donor, publisher, author, or author's heirs.  Researcher should consult the 1976 Copyright Act, Public Law 94‑553, Title 17 U.S. Code and an archivist at this repository if clarification of copyright requirements is needed.

Access: This collection is open under the rules and regulations of the State Historical Society of North Dakota.

Transfer: Publications were separated from the collection and cataloged. Artifacts were offered to the Museum Division of the SHSND in 2018.

We are closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We are closed at noon Christmas Eve if it falls on Mon.-Thurs. and are closed all day if it falls on Fri.-Sun.
