Provenance: The collection was donated to the SHSND by Joan Baumstarck in May 2017. Additional material was added to the collection in December 2017.

Biographical Sketch
John, Anton and Frank Baumstarck were born to Peter and Marianna (Marian) (Diesz) Baumstarck. All three brothers served in World War II. Anton was born February 7, 1909, and died May 8, 1984. Frank was born June 8, 1918 in Emmons County, he died August 6, 2001. John was born in 1920 and was killed in action in World War II in 1942.
