Abstract: Includes articles of incorporation, by-laws, executive committee minutes, annual meeting minutes, president's correspondence, general correspondence, membership information, newsletters, brochures, financial records, and audiotapes and transcripts associated with a tour conducted by Robert Levis, the second owner of the Cross Ranch.
Provenance: The State Historical Society of North Dakota acquired the North Dakota Natural Science Society Records as a gift from Earle H. Campbell on August 15, 1984. An additional two feet of material was donated by Paul Kannowski, former Secretary-Treasurer of the Society, in September 2010. In 2004 the Society was reorganized and became the Great Plains Natural Science Society.

He talks about Knife River flint, turtle effigies, Mandan villages, glacial erratic, beaver dams, the origin of the name Cross Ranch, efforts to get the land designated as a state park, the Nature Conservancy, and natural and geologic features.
