Abstract: Records primarily consist of biographies of pioneers in Ramsey County (N.D.) filed alphabetically by last name. The biographies are written on application forms submitted for membership in the Pioneers' Association. Supplemental biographical information, including newspaper clippings, obituaries, correspondence and/or reminiscences is available for several of the pioneers. Membership applications for the Fifty Year Club and the Lake Region Chapter Pioneer Daughters of North Dakota are also integrated into the alphabetical files.

The records also include preliminary meeting minutes, a petition for the organization of the City of Devils Lake as a Special School District (copy), general correspondence, presentations on the history of Ramsey County, an informational booklet about the organization that includes a list of pioneers of the region, a blank membership application form, membership card, newspaper clippings about the organization and Ramsey County (N.D.) history, and a photograph of the first post office in Devils Lake.

Provenance: The State Historical Society of North Dakota acquired this collection from Dana
Wright in October 1958.
