Enos Stutsman
Enos Stutsman, Lincoln’s friend and an attorney, became president of the Council of Dakota, or upper body of the legislature, on December 1, 1862. Stutsman, who had no legs and only one arm, was a business partner of J.B.S. Todd, and later became U.S. Treasury Agent at Pembina.
