Dear Wife

Your Letter of the 20th is at Hand and found us well

Dear Mary I know it is hard for you to leave your home but I had to leave Mine and go among strangers and battle With the World for a living but I think you will have a good home after a While besides it is a nice Place Mass Every day in the year and every thing to make it pleasant

I think I shall go to St Paul and meet you if I can if not I will Let you know at St. Paul

We will be done Haying to Morrow times are good for working men now Wages from 30 to 50 dollars a month Get My Clothes Brush that is at fathers and get Some Braid for my coat in St Paul and Some Knives and forks and any other Little things you think of My Love to all the folks Your Loving Husband L Connolly
