BISMARCK - Area fiber artists will come together to do some public knitting at the Former Governorsí Mansion State Historic Site on Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The mansion is located at 320 East Avenue B in Bismarck. Knitters, crocheters, spinners, and other fiber artists are welcome to participate and enjoy a day of socializing and crafting.
The event is part of an international event called World-Wide Knit in Public Day. It provides an opportunity for like-minded crafters to share techniques, show off their skills, and learn about charitable opportunities. Chairs and tables will be available inside the facility. Individuals who would like to work on the lawn or porch are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket.
World-Wide Knit in Public Day began in 2005 as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each otherís company.
