Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site invites children to attend the Junior Soldier’s Club

ABERCROMBIE – Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site near Fargo and Wahpeton will feature the Junior Soldier’s Club each Monday, June 9 through August 4 from 10-11 a.m. The Junior Soldier’s Club provides students with an understanding of military life in a fort during 1857 – 1877 and family life on the western frontier through fun stories activities and games.

Barbara Myhre, a veteran teacher and interpreter at Fort Abercrombie, will provide a memorable learning experience for children in grades preschool through grade 6.

Fort Abercrombie Historic Site is open daily from May 16th to September 15th 2014. For more information on this or other programs, please contact Lenny Krueger at 701.553.8513.
