Bismarck – The State Historical Society of North Dakota is seeking the public’s help in expanding its collections of certain contemporary artifacts from the past fifty years. The State Historical Society is looking for a variety of items including donations of contemporary agricultural objects such as newly developed seed strains, modern equipment and tools, and ATV, a beekeeper outfit, and more.
The staff is also requesting donations of contemporary rodeo and ranching items such as show shirts, riding outfits, work clothing, rodeo queen outfits, equipment and tools, and more. Other contemporary pieces being sought include memorabilia related to state legends such as Peggy Lee, Bobby Vee, and Lawrence Welk, teenage clothing from all time periods, International Music Camp items, bowling items, American Indian Movement items, and more.
