Birds, Bugs, Slugs, and Other Wildlife at Former Governors’ Mansion

BISMARCK— Join the staff at the Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site in Bismarck on July 25, from 2-4 p.m. on an urban safari to look for and observe the many species of animals that can be found on the grounds of the mansion. The afternoon is geared towards children, but all ages are welcome.

The event is free and open to the public.

Identification stations will be set up. Staff will assist with finding, drawing, and identifying the species that make the mansion their home. At 3 p.m., local entertainer Kittyko will have story time, bug and bird trivia, and children’s music. Ice cream cones, cookies, and lemonade will be served.

The Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site located at 320 E. Ave B in Bismarck and is open year-round. Admission is free. For more information call 701.328.9528 or email jcampbell@nd.gov.
