Fort Buford and Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center to host public programs

Fort Buford--The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center will be hosting several events in September.  All of the events are free and open to the public.

September 11                    Meet other history buffs in an interesting discussion of the month’s selected book.  The Fort Buford History Book Club gathers at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Center. Please call in advance if you will be joining us.

September 13-14              History Alive! featuring Arch Ellwien as James Liberty Fisk at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. CDT.

September 14                    Flag lowering ceremony with the 6th Infantry at Fort Buford State Historic Site.

September 15                    The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center begins winter hours through May 15, Wednesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m. Central Time.  Fort Buford closed for the season.

September 19-20              Join the Confluence Quilters for their monthly meeting from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. CDT.  Quilters of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate.

September 21                    Concert at the Confluence, 3 p.m., featuring Open Range, overlooking one of North Dakota's most beautiful natural sights.

The Missouri Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is located 22 miles southwest of Williston at Fort Buford. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. CDT daily. Fort Buford State Historic Site is open daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. CDT

State Museum and Store: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. M-F; Sat. & Sun. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
We are closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
We will also be closed on Christmas Eve this year.
State Archives: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F, except state holidays; 2nd Sat. of each month, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
State Historical Society offices: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. M-F, except state holidays.
