Abstract: Records consist of the Association’s constitution, bylaws, minutes, membership records, correspondence, lists of officers and board members, organizational history, conference material, information about awards, position descriptions, legislation, grants, lists of scholarship recipients,   newsletters, journal, a DVD from the 50th anniversary of the organization in 2007, and records of several affiliated organizations.

Provenance: The collection was donated to the State Historical Society of North Dakota by Marcia Foss on February 20, 2014.

Property rights: The State Historical Society of North Dakota owns the property rights to the collection.

Copyrights: Copyrights to materials in this collection remain with the donor, publisher, author, or author's heirs.  Researchers should consult the 1976 Copyright Act, Public Law 94-553, Title 17, U.S. Code and an archivist at this repository if clarification of copyright requirements is needed.  Permission to use any radio or television broadcast portions of the collection must be sought from the creator.

The North Dakota Counseling Association (NDCA) is the state association for professional counselors. The NDCA currently represents over 400 members coming from all areas of the counseling and human development areas. The mission of the NDCA is to provide quality professional development opportunities, facilitate networking, advocate for the counseling profession, and promote leadership activities and encourage active involvement in the organization. The organization celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007.
