Abstract: Consists of audio interviews and transcripts, release forms, and the final report by Kimberly R. Porter for an oral history project entitled, "Depression Era Discoveries," sponsored by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Interviews cover farming, schools, CCC and WPA, community activities, and the general conditions of the ‘dirty thirties’ in Walsh County, North Dakota.

Provenance:
The Walsh County Historic Preservation Commission donated the interviews and transcripts to the State Historical Society of North Dakota in November 2000. Those interviewed signed release forms allowing the collection to come to the State Historical Society.

The State Historical Society of North Dakota owns the property rights to this collection.
