Interpretive Programs
Interpretive programs highlight historic, cultural, and natural history themes that are featured in the exhibit galleries.  Lectures, special events, and activity-centered programs are a sampling of what is offered for the public throughout the year.

January 12, 2008

Exhibit Opening Program, Emigrants from the Empires: North Dakota’s Germans.  Ron Vossler, University of North Dakota English professor and author of numerous books on Germans from Russia in North Dakota, will present his ideas of what it is to be German in North Dakota.  The program will start at 2:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

March 15, 2008

Seventh Annual Easter Egg Hunt, 2 to 4 p.m.  Easter crafts and games will be held, and children will be able to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt and win prizes.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

May 26, 2008

Memorial Day Observances, 10:30 a.m., in conjunction with the Kern-Thompson American Legion Post 77.

Hours:
May 16- Sept. 15, 9 am - 6 pm, Mon.-Sat., 1 pm - 6 pm., Sun.
Sept. 16 - May 15, 9 am - 5 pm, Mon. - Sat., 1 pm - 5 pm, Sun.
The Museum Store closes one half-hour before the museum closes.
Closed New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
